At Headwaters, we’re all about going beyond grantmaking to support our partners. Last summer, we offered an impactful training called ‘Action Lab: Messaging for Impact’ with a goal of equipping grantees with tools to tell compelling stories and spark change. Attendees left feeling inspired and ready to make waves in their communities. 🌊 Curious about our recipe for success? Hear from our Communications Manager in a new blog, where she dives into the 5 key elements that made the Action Lab a game-changer, presenting it as a potential model for other funders seeking to support their partners beyond grantmaking. #trustbasedphilanthropy https://lnkd.in/gQTJiURE

Systemic funding inequities have handicapped Native-led organizations from being able to most effectively support Indigenous communities. May 17 is Native Nonprofit Day, a nationwide campaign created by our friends at Native Ways Federation aimed at raising awareness and increasing funding for Native-led nonprofits. Help us spread the word using the hashtag #GiveNative and check out our Native Voices Rising grantee list to find Native-led orgs to donate to ➡️ nativevoicesrising.org #NativeNonprofitDay #SupportNativeLed #NativeLed #Philanthropy #NativePhilanthropy #NativeGiving #Indigenous #Native #NativeAmerican

In line with our #trustbasedphilanthropy approach, we changed our Program Officer title to ‘Resource Partner.’ We feel that it better captures the way we see this role -- less about compliance and oversight and more about partnership and collaboration. 🤝 On that note, meet our Senior Resource Partner, Ashley Morton (she/her)! Ashley has been with Headwaters since its inception in 2017. A lifelong Montanan, Ashley is passionate about listening to and supporting our partners from Sula to Eureka. She feels lucky to work alongside such inspirational changemakers. Check out our updated staff page at https://lnkd.in/gvU5y_aj and reach out to say hello!
