Just weeks ago, a few ALLWEST team members (Taryn Perry (Erickson), Scott Fraser, and Isaac Rede) attended the Geoprofessional Business Association's 2024 Annual Conference in Anaheim, CA. The theme of this year's gathering, "Champion Excellence", emphasized the importance of maintaining curiosity in the workplace and our every day lives, industry trends, emerging technologies, and various leadership topics. Additionally, as recognition for our recent, companywide efforts working with the GBA to conduct a Peer Review at the end of 2023, ALLWEST received an award during the conference. Please follow the link below for more information on GBA's Peer Review process: https://lnkd.in/g76BScha Providing an exceptional resource to network with geoprofessionals all over the US and informative, thought-provoking presentations and group discussions; we are looking forward to the next annual GBA Conference in '25. We hope to see you there! -Continuous Improvement with GBA's Peer Review-

Last week, ALLWEST team members from our Spokane and Lewiston offices attended the Greater Spokane Incorporated Peer-Networking event as hosted by Arbor Crest Wine Cellars. The views of Spokane were beautiful, and the conversations shared were valuable. It is always great to gather with some of the movers-and-shakers in our community! Many-a-"thank you" to nonprofit spotlight sponsor WA529 - Washington Education Savings Plans. They are doing amazing things for families in Washington in support of financial literacy and saving for college. The nonprofit highlight of the evening, Alzheimer's Association, Washington State Chapter also deserves a thank you from all of us, especially during National Volunteer Week. And finally, a round of applause are in order for supporting sponsor Idaho Central Credit Union. They helped make all of the positive interactions and thoughtful communications possible. We look forward to seeing you all at the next one!

ALLWEST team members Cole Warrick and Kyle Adams, CAPM endured a somewhat short-term whiteout this morning. Those Missoula folks sponsored Hole 1 at the Missoula Country Club during this year's Missoula Construction Council / Missoula Plans Exchange Scholarship Golf Tournament. More information is available below and has also been included in the photos attached to this post. The deadline for scholarship application is April 26, 2024; there is still time! "Funded by the Missoula Construction Council, the Missoula Plans Exchange scholarship program enables local youth to continue their education on the collegiate level. The organization has a long-standing history of service to local communities, and this fund helps support those who exhibit the same commitment." - Missoula Plans Exchange Springtime in the mountains! The attached photos were taken chronologically over the course of about 40 minutes... Needless to say, after about two inches of snow, all the players and hole sponsors retreated into the club house and the tournament was rescheduled to May 8, 2024. For those of us familiar with the "wait five minutes or drive five miles" weather we experience in the Rocky Mountain West, such an occurrence is not at all out of the ordinary. An enormous thank you goes out to all of the folks at the Plans Exchange and Construction Council for organizing such an amazing event in support of our community! We can't forget all of the other sponsors... Ash Grove Cement Company, Builders FirstSource, Boyce Lumber, Champion Concrete Pumping, Inc., Cogswell Insurance Agency LLC, Comfort Systems USA, Communication Resources, Core & Main, Dick Anderson Construction, D.P. Nicoli Inc., Dakota Supply Group, Edge Construction Supply, Inc., The Euclid Chemical Company, 4G Plumbing and Heating, Inc., Garden City Plumbing & Heating, Inc., J&M Electric, Inc., Jackson Contractor Group, Inc., Kinter Electric, L&C Customs, LLC, Langlas and Associates, Macon Supply, Montana Fire Sprinklers, LLC, Pierce Flooring and Design, Seamless Promotions, LLC, Stockman Bank of Montana, Swank Enterprises, Time Rental, 3 Rivers Landworks, and Vemco, Inc. We look forward to seeing everyone again in May!

On Thursday last week, ALLWEST Engineering Technician Miles Jaqua performed concrete testing during a 12-yard concrete placement for new construction at the Goldendale Wastewater Treatment Plant in south-central Washington. Looking to the northwest, Miles bore witness to quite the spectacular view of Mount Adams located in the scenic Gifford Pinchot National Forest. As one of the oldest forests within the United States, the GP National Forest spans across approximately 1.3 million acres and originally acquired the federal designation in 1897. A well-deserved thank you goes out to some of our collaborators on this project, including RH2 Engineering and Tapani Inc., just to name a couple.

ALLWEST team members Shawn Turpin, Kenn BAER, and Brett Zimmerman attended the 2024 Bridging Partnerships Small Business Symposium last week at the Three Rivers Convention Center. Shawn, Kenn, and Brett found the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory's Division Director of Requirements & Records Management John Robinson's presentation "How to Write a Winning Proposal" interesting and insightful. Additionally, the "KEEPING IT FRESH: How to keep your business from becoming stale" presentation from renowned local speakers Mr. Isaac Butts and Mr. Paul Casey provided thought-provoking perspective on business management and operations. An enormous thank you goes out to the Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce for organizing such an informative and enjoyable event for the businesses in our community. We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
